5 Must Have Christmas Albums

Publish date: 2024-06-21

Tis the – almost – season and if you’ve walked into your local department store you’ve been greeted with a preview of Christmas in November!  While some people are against celebrating Christmas until December first, we thought we’d give you a head start on picking out your holiday playlist with some of our go to Christmas CD’s.

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Stay with us here – it may not be full of Christmas songs that you expect to hear on the radio or walking through a shopping mall in December, but this is a CLASSIC.  A Charlie Brown Christmas itself is a staple of the season so the soundtrack makes the list too.  It’s a feel good movie that teaches children and adults alike good values and brings us back to the true meaning of the season, plus the songs are catchy enough to get stuck in your head!

4. Jackson 5 Christmas Album

This is a must have for any holiday listening.  Jackson 5 only released one holiday album and it’s because they only needed this one.  Their vocals are incredible and they make all of our favorite tunes sound perfect! Their versions of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause have to be two of our favorites!

3. Merry Christmas – Mariah Carey

We can’t imagine the Christmas season without hearing Mariah Carey’s amazing vocals leading us through some classic Christmas songs.  If we ever want to listen to All I Want For Christmas Is You – this is our go to version.  She also sings Silent Night so beautifully your eyes are guaranteed to tear up.  The way Mariah can bring a song to life makes her Christmas album a must have.

2. Elvis’ Christmas Album

Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a little Elvis Presley.  His deep voice and southern drawl makes some of the classic carols and tunes unique in a really lovely way.  Elvis’ best songs on his Christmas album are definitely Blue Christmas and I’ll be home for Christmas.  Can you imagine a December without listening to either one of those?  We can’t either.

1. Christmas – Michael Buble

Since it’s release in 2011 Michael Buble’s Christmas Album has been a staple to the holiday season!  Michael’s powerful voice carries you through It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas and Santa Baby beautifully.  He covers all of the classic holiday songs and manages to make even the carols sound a little less carol-y and a little more like the music you’d listen to when the snow is falling outside and you’re wrapped up with a nice cup of hot cocoa.  This album is arranged beautifully and we think it is the must have album of the season!
