Colorado loses 2 QB commits in consecutive days, including 2024 3-star Danny ONeil
In two days, Deion Sanders and Colorado went from two QBs coming to Boulder to none.
On Sunday, four-star 2025 quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. decommitted from the Buffaloes.
On Monday, 2024 three-star quarterback Danny O’Neil decommitted from Colorado, too
That leaves Sanders without a committed quarterback for his 2024 recruiting class with three weeks until the early signing period begins. Colorado’s 2024 class dropped from No. 60 to No. 65 nationally in the 247Sports Composite after O’Neil’s decommitment.

O’Neil, the nation’s No. 40 quarterback according to 247Sports Composite, had been committed to Colorado since March. Hill, the No. 5 quarterback in the 2025 class, committed to the Buffaloes in October after visiting campus.

Meet Danny O'Neil, Deion Sanders' first hand-picked QB recruit at Colorado
They’re the latest in a rash of decommitments for Colorado. Three-star offensive lineman Talan Chandler, one of two offensive line commitments in the Buffaloes’ 2024 class, flipped to Missouri earlier this month.
Four-star 2025 athlete Winston Watkins Jr., who committed to Colorado the day Sanders was hired last December, also decommitted from the Buffaloes this month.
Asked about the development last week, Sanders proposed an NCAA rule change.
“A kid ain’t even faithful to his girlfriend. You think (he’s) gonna be faithful to a school? Come on, man. That’s an emotional thing,” Sanders said. “What I wish the NCAA would do, if you’re committed somewhere, you can’t go on any other visits. If you’re committed, that means you’re committed. You can’t go on no other visits. Why would you be committed but you’re still letting kids go on other visits? That means you just playing.”
