Cuteness Overload: Safaree Samuels Post First Full-Face Photo of His and Erica Menas Son Le
Like father, like son.
On Aug. 21 Safaree Samuels surprised his fans with a post-delete photo of his and his estranged wife Erica Mena’s newborn son Legend Brian Samuels. The “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” star dressed his almost 2-month-old in Jamaica-themed attire, to not only represent the Jamaican women’s track team but to also show pride in his Jamaican roots.
In the caption of the photo, Safaree wrote, “Legend says he ready for 1st place.” and that’s exactly what they got. On Aug. 21, the highly anticipated Prefontaine Classic track meet in Eugene, Oregon, took place, and viewers were excited to see women from the Jamaican track and field team, who are also Olympic champs, compete against Sha’Carri Richardson. Richardson was supposed to go to the Olympics after winning the 100 meters in the U.S. Olympic Trials but ended up failing her drug test, which resulted in her getting suspended for a month.
Saturday’s event was the first track event Richardson was able to take part in since the end of the ban, and she finished in last place. Elaine Thompson-Herah, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Sherica Jackson took home the first, second, and third-place medals, just as they did in the Olympics.
While Samuels did delete the photo it was not before Legend got a few compliments from fans over his good looks. One person wrote, “Cuteness Overload.” Just like many fans do when celebrities have children, some began to debate whether Legend looked more like his mother than father or vice versa. One said, “Awww he’s so handsome lil man I’m so happy healthy too looking just like daddy got his eyes head ok congrats god bless.” Someone else wrote, “He so cute looking like his mommy.”
Mena and Safaree are currently going through a divorce after almost two years of publicly bashing each other on social media then later making up. Now viewers of L&HHATL are getting an up-close look at how things unfolded between the couple leading up to their decision to divorce.
New episodes air Mondays on VH1 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
