Our dear daughter, sister, and friend Emily and her husband, Jearan, were killed in a terrible accident on July 30th. This disaster has altered our life’s course irrevocably, and it will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Among Emily’s living relatives are her parents, Crystal and Vern; her older sisters, Amber and Nathan; her aunts, Shannon and Dana Nawolski; her uncles, Vince and Devlin Stevens; and her uncle, Barry, who is married to Hattie, Mark and Martyn, respectively.

Despite her brief lifetime on this planet, Emily touched the lives of countless people. At the tender age of five, she began her curling career at the Tyndall Curling Club, and she quickly became an involved member of the community. She was more than happy to offer her assistance to Ron with the ice and any other event he may need her for. She was adored and respected by everyone. Whether it was competing in snowmobile races with her sister, going fishing with her dad, going camping with her family, or just hanging out in the pits with her friends, Emily loved being outside.

She had no trouble being located in the backyard even when she was a little girl. In the darkest of spaces, Emily’s infectious laughter could cast a warm glow. At the most inopportune times, she has a magical way of making people laugh. Whenever you needed a friend or a shoulder to cry on, you could always count on her. Emily is really kind; she makes sure everyone feels welcome, is always willing to provide a hand, and shows genuine care for the people around her. If you had given her permission, she would have gladly taken in any stray animals she came across, whether they dogs, cats, or even cattle. Her love of animals would have been obvious to you if you had known her. Her intentions were always pure and kind.

Heffer, Nawolski, and her cousin Jason (Carrie Dvernychuk). Her two best friends, Claira and Camille Abby Cnudde, and Kaylee Laurie, along with their other acquaintances and extended family members, will never be able to get over the loss of Emily. Sterling Proutt will miss Emily terribly since they were romantically linked when they were younger. Sterling will carry the deep sense of true love that Emily gave him with him into maturity. Also, the times they spent together will be treasured by him.E
