Marcelo is nearing the end of his football career, with the Brazilian left-back considering retiring at the end of the 2021/22 season.

He is currently level with Paco Gento on 23 titles won with Real Madrid and the 33-year-old would like to take top spot for himself, which he can do if Los Blancos win LaLiga Santander or the Champions League this term.

Then, according to renowned Spanish journalist Paco Gonzalez, he'll retire and move into modelling.

"He isn't going to continue playing football," Paco Gonzalez, the director of Cadena Cope's 'Tiempo De Juego' programme, explained.

"He wants to win another title with Real Madrid to have one more than Gento and then he'll say goodbye to football.

"Then, his future plan is to be a model for a North American clothing brand, possibly one that sells boxer shorts."
