Lattimore is definitely a rising star to watch out for. Here you will learn more about him including his Biography, Body Stats, Brother, Family Facts etc.

Age, early life and rise to fame

Marshon Demond Lattimore was born on May 20, 1996 in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his high school education from Glenville High School in Cleveland, where he played football in both an offensive (wide receiver) and defensive (cornerback) position. In his senior year, he caught 40 receptions for 911 yards and 16 touchdowns while helping his school qualify for the Division 11 Ohio Championship game. In recognition of his personal accomplishments, he was named the division’s Defensive Player of the Year, and the Associated Press also named him a first-team All-State.

Not surprisingly, Marshon Lattimore was courted at several colleges, but he chose Ohio State University, where he spent three years from 2014-2016. At Ohio State, Lattimore’s career was hampered by a redshirt in his freshman year and a hamstring injury in his sophomore year. However, he got a chance to shine in his sophomore year, and the Cleveland native didn’t disappoint. He started all games that year (2016 season) and recorded 41 tackles (30 solos), one loss, four stoppages and 13 passes defended. His strong showing was enough to catch the NFL’s attention despite only having one full season, and he was ranked the #1 cornerback by draft by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, etc.

NFL career

Marshon Lattimore lived up to the predictions and was selected in the very first round of the 2017 draft by the New Orleans Saints. He was the 11th overall winner that year and the Saints signed a four-year, $15,350,000 deal. Although he was only a beginner, the Saints gave him ample opportunities to play and he rewarded their faith in him. In 13 total games for the Saints (all of which he started), he made 53 tackles (44 solos), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, five interceptions for 85 yards and 18 passes defended as the Saints ranked first their division came to the finish and qualified for the playoffs.

Lattimore recorded his first career interception following a pass from Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford in Week 6 of his rookie season. As a testament to his amazing individual accomplishments, he was voted to the 2018 Pro Bowl and unanimously named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press, ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated and PFWA. He was also named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month twice (October and December 2017), becoming the first player to accomplish such a feat twice. The New Orleans star is currently in his second season in the league and is still getting stronger and better.

Marshon Lattimore brother and family

Marshon Lattimore comes from a sporting family. His mother, Felicia Killebrew, had brothers who were football players, while his father, Marland Lattimore, was a brilliant quarterback in high school. His father was so good that he got a scholarship to Central State University in Ohio. Unfortunately, his career was cut short by a knee injury in his first year. Like his father, Lattimore had nearly curtailed his own injury dreams. He suffered an ongoing hamstring injury in his freshman and sophomore years, but was able to fully recover and continue his career.

There’s no indication that Lattimore has a brother, but if there’s one person he considers a brother, it’s Chris Worley, who is linebacker for the Cincinnati Bengals. Both Lattimore and Worley grew up watching football games together as kids, eventually playing at the same high school and college.

Height, weight and body measurements

Marshon Lattimore is exactly 6 feet tall and weighs a modest 87.5 kg. His arm length is 31 1/4 inches while his hand size is 8 7/8 inches. Despite being of average height, he makes up for it with his explosive athleticism and agility. Another thing that stands out for him is his confidence and competitiveness.
