Ahmad Rashad and his daughter Condola Rashad share a striking resemblance, showcased in a recent snap the former posted on Instagram.
On Wednesday, former professional football player Ahmad Rashad treated his fans to a delightful snap of himself and his daughter, Condola Rashad.
The picture showed Ahmad in an off-white jacket top, which he wore over a navy blue T-shirt. Posing next to him was the beautiful Condola, who wore a black coat over a gray turtleneck.

She wore a black hat and rocked braided hair. In the snapshot, the father-daughter duo smiled as they showed off their striking resemblance posing alongside each other.
In the post's caption, Ahmad gushed over his daughter by writing: "My beautiful wonderful condola❤️❤️❤️." Some of his over 21k Instagram followers commented on the post.
One fan described the picture as beautiful, while another fan said they share a close resemblance. Condola also commented on the post by expressing her love for her dad.
Ahmad shares Condola with his former wife and actress Phylicia Rashad, who he married in 1985. Ahmad and Phylicia's marriage was the talk of the town back in the day because she was a beautiful actress and famous for her starring role on "The Cosby Show."
Meanwhile, Ahmad had also enjoyed a successful playing career, and he caught the eye due to how he proposed to Phylicia. The proposal happened on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1985.
With an estimated 40 million viewers watching the Thanksgiving pregame show, Ahmad confessed that he was in love with a lady.
The Detroit Lions hosted their annual Thanksgiving Day game in Pontiac, Michigan, and welcomed the New York Jets to town for a game broadcast on NBC.
Ahmad was a host of NBC's pregame show, "NBC 85," and broadcasted live at the game to cover proceedings. After Bob Costas introduced him to speak about X's and O's, he reminisced about the last time he was at the Silverdome as a player.
On that occasion, Ahmad was carried off the field in a stretcher following an injury. Such a memory is not pleasant, and the former NFL star was determined to create a new one. Hence, he asked Costas as a favor.
With an estimated 40 million viewers watching the Thanksgiving pregame show, Ahmad confessed that he was in love with a lady. He described the woman as the one who portrays Claire Huxtable on "The Cosby Show."
Ahmad revealed Phylicia was in New York at the Macy's Day Parade and asked Costas if he could dispatch someone to help send a message to her, asking if she would marry him.
No one was as tense as Ahmad, who waited nervously for his love interest's reply.
Although Costas was aware of Ahmad's plan to propose to Phylicia on the show, he played the surprise accomplice very well and asked his colleague if he was serious. Ahmad confirmed that he was indeed serious.
He joked that his TV proposal could end in two ways — him being the happiest person in the world or the biggest turkey on national TV. Costas promised to send someone to ask Phylicia the all-important question.
The game between the Jets and the Lions was intense, with the team from Detroit dominating the first half. However, most people watching saw the game as secondary as everyone waited to know Phylicia's response.
No one was as tense as Ahmad, who waited nervously for his love interest's reply. An intern was sent to find Phylicia and escorted her to the NBC studios. She wore a frilly yellow blouse and looked elegant.
However, she was overwhelmed to be sitting next to Costas on national TV during the halftime show of a live football game. When Ahmad appeared on camera from the game in Michigan, he was sweating profusely. Costas could not help but tease him.
Costas then asked Phylicia if she would accept Ahmad's proposal, and she nervously answered in the affirmative before repeating her reply to emphasize she would indeed marry him.
Ahmad was visibly relieved and smiled excitedly. He was not the only one happy as the whole nation was delighted for him.
After their marriage, Phylicia took Ahmad's last name and kept it after their divorce in 2001. Unsurprisingly, there were eyes on their marriage soon after they tied the knot.
About six months after they married, Ahmad was asked the secret of their happy union. However, he said that only couples who had been together for 50 years deserved to be asked.
Ahmad's point of view was understandable, given that his marriage to Phylicia was his third. Before marrying her, he had tied the knot with Deidre Waters in 1969.
They had a daughter, Keva, who was born in 1970. He also welcomed a son, Sean, with another woman in the same year. In 1976, Ahmad married Matilda Johnson, and they share two children, Maiyisha and Ahmad Jr. They divorced three years after tying the knot.
After divorcing Phylicia, he married Sale Johnson, Woody Johnson's ex-wife, in 2007. Again, the marriage ended in divorce in 2013. Ahmad married for the fifth time in 2016 to a psychologist, Ana Luz Rodriguez-Paz.
Besides his remarkable career and marriages, Ahmad has many famous friends, including O.J. Simpson, Michael Jordan, Bill Cosby, and many more. He has maintained a close relationship with most of them.
Ahmad and Phylicia's daughter, Condola, was born in 1986. She has grown up to be a gorgeous lady and followed in her famous mother's footsteps.
In a chat with W Magazine, Condola discussed her entryway into acting. She said she always knew she wanted to become an actor since watching her mom in rehearsal. She also said:
"It was something that became a part of me, but I didn't train in it. In terms of what I actually was doing, I was training as a musician. My mom gave me piano lessons at the age of three."
From then on, it became an after-school thing for Condola. She played classical piano for about ten years. She admitted that the entertainment industry could be challenging for kids and cause them to be disjointed and confused.
Condola attended the California Institute of the Arts, after which she returned to New York City to take it by storm. She earned multiple Tony nominations for her Broadway performances and landed a part in the Showtime drama series "Billions," where she portrays Kate Sacker.
In January 2020, The Hollywood Reporter revealed Condola Rashad would voice Meghan Markle in "The Prince," an HBO Max animated satire treatment of the British Royal Family.
Condola continues to make great strides in Hollywood as she makes a name for herself. It can only get better for the 34-year-old.
